Pellegrini’s is an iconic Melbourne restaurant that’s been there forever and is said to have installed the city’s first espresso machine way back in 1954. It took me a while to get this shot. This was my third or fourth attempt because somehow I just couldn’t get a composition I liked and I had to wait for a wet night each time because I wanted the reflections off the footpath. If you’re heading out for dinner (or lunch or breakfast) and feel like Italian, it’s at the top end of Bourke St between Spring and Exhibition.
