These prints are different from my A3 and A2 prints in a couple of ways. Firstly, I outsource the printing and posting to Lantern Printing in Melbourne, owned and run by Karl Stamer. Karl has been printing professionally for over 30 years and has helped me out a bunch over the years, so I know I’m in good hands.

Secondly, they’re printed on canvas rather than paper, and there’s a good reason for that. Panoramas look best when they’re big, and if you had to custom frame a 2.1m long paper print you’d run into all sorts of difficulties. Finding a framer willing to take it on is the first problem, the expense is another, and the weight of all that glass makes transport and hanging a challenge. With canvas, all of that goes away, along with the problem of reflections.

You won’t see it in these images, but each print has a mirrored edge. When it’s stretched onto a frame, the whole image sits on the front and a mirror image of its edges wraps around the sides, so it looks like the picture continues around the frame rather than stopping at a white border.

Your print will arrive rolled in a mailing tube, just like the A3 and A2 prints. The only extra step is taking it to a framer to be stretched, which is a much simpler and cheaper job than framing a paper print. Please allow 2 weeks for printing and delivery.
