I liked St Petersburg - it seemed like a place where everyone was enjoying themselves. Like this guy. Just your average St Petersburgian, strolling shirtless alongside the canal with a bit of makeup on, a big grin on his face and an AK47 at the ready. I asked him if I could take a quick pic, he said ‘Da’, took a stance and pointed his gun at me. I shot him, he didn’t shoot me and we both went our merry ways. Didn’t occur to me until much later the gun might have actually been real.
